Since 1987, Ira C. Kaplan, has been regularly appointed by the Superior Court, Chancery Division, as counsel for people who are the subject of guardianship proceedings (i.e. people suffering from Alzheimers/Dementia). In his representation of alleged incapacitated people, Mr. Kaplan must consult with treating physicians, family members, the alleged incapacitated person and other third parties to determine if it is appropriate for a guardian to be appointed. As part of all such appointments, Mr. Kaplan is required to prepare and submit a written report which the court relies upon in its determination of whether a guardian should be appointed.
Should you have a loved one who can no longer manage his or her affairs, contact Mr. Kaplan so he can file appropriate proceedings to have a guardian appointed.
